Fist of Legend (1994)

This remake of Bruce Lee's Fists of Fury stars Jet Li as Chen Zhen, student of famed martial artist, Huo Juanjia, who travels from Japan to Shanghai to investigate the death of his master in a duel with a Japanese karate master.

Featuring choreography from Yuen Woo-ping, the movie contains some of Jet Li's best fights. In this scene, Chen Zhen fights Fumio Funakochi (actor and martial artist, Yasuaki Kurata).

In addition to the usual punching and kicking, this epic battle features elbows, knees, stepping on feet, posting the hips, and a variety of clever trickery. And yet the fight is an honorable one that ends with mutual respect.
